Washi meaning japanese paper relies on time-consuming manual methods, using strong natural fibers such as bark from a gampi tree , bamboo, rice or paper mulberry (kōzo) bush. It is flexible decorative paper traditionally handmade in japan and heavily used in printmaking, lighting and collage.
Overview
Washi is a brand of eco-friendly tape used for decorative accents. Varying from different colors and patterns, it offers a bio-degradable, durable and reusable use. Washi is providing a saving solution while sharing creativity.
Objective:
Thinking about the generations of papermaking, I wanted to create eco-friendly packaging with minimal and organic design. A reusable tape dispenser that can be easily carried and shared with others.
